Părinții lui au plecat în Spania când el încă nu era la școală.„Primele mele amintiri sunt cu bunicii mamei. Aveam 4 ani când am rămas cu fratele meu, cu doi ani mai mic, la Aiud. Părinții au plecat în Spania pentru o viață mai bună, cum se spune. Mai veneau uneori să ne vadă. Am făcut în țară doar grădinița și clasa I. Apoi, când eu aveam 6 ani, mama și tata ne-au adus cu ei în Spania, pe mine și fratele meu. În Aguaviva, o localitate cu vreo 600 de locuitori, din Teruel, Aragon. Tata muncea în construcții, iar mama în bucătăria unui restaurant. Prima amintire din fotbal o am totuși din țară, unde băteam mingea pe stradă în Aiud”, povestea fundașul român într-un interviu acordat în 2021 pentru ProSport.„Am făcut doi ani fotbal în sală! Futsal! Așa am fost remarcat de Andorra CF, un club de fotbal la vreo 30 km distanță de casă. Tot din Teruel, nu Andorra din Principat! M-am bucurat tare că pot începe fotbalul în Spania, dar pentru familie a fost tare greu. Mama mă ducea și mă aducea de la antrenamente zi de zi, 30 de kilometri, se chinuia mult”, mai declara Andrei Rațiu în același interviu.Rațiu a fost crescut de Villarreal, apoi a ajuns la Huesca, în liga secundă din Spania, devenind între timp titular indiscutabil pe partea dreaptă a naționalei României, mai scria ProSport.În interviul din 2021, Andrei Rațiu povestește cum s-a integrat la Villarreal și că familia sa a avut încredere maximă în el.„M-am integrat foarte ușor în Spania, că eram copil și te adaptezi repede când ești mic, îți dai seama. La turneul de la Zaragoza m-au văzut scouterii lui Villareal și m-au monitorizat până în vară, la final de sezon, când m-au chemat să dau probe. Le-am trecut și așa am început la Villareal C, a treia echipă a clubului, de juniori. M-am mutat din Aragon în Castellon. Toată familia s-a mutat pentru mine în Castellon. Părinților și fratelui nu le-a fost ușor, dar au crezut în mine. Când am ajuns, vreun an de zile a fost cumplit, ai mei nu aveau de lucru, așa că tata a început să facă naveta la Madrid, muncea în construcții câte o săptămână și venea când putea acasă, la finaluri de săptămână.

26 mai 2024 - Ziua Românilor de Pretutindeni Ziua Românilor de Pretutindeni a fost marcată, înainte de anul 2014, la data de 30 noiembrie, concomitent cu sărbătoarea Sfântului Apostol Andrei, cel Întâi chemat, Ocrotitorul României, potrivit Legii nr. 299 din 13 noiembrie 2007 privind sprijinul acordat românilor de pretutindeni, publicată în Monitorul Oficial la 21 noiembrie 2007. Articolul 10 din Legea 299/2007 a fost modificat prin Legea 101/2015, care a stabilit marcarea Zilei Românilor de Pretutindeni în ultima duminică a lunii mai.LA MULTI ANI, TUTUROR ROMANILOR DE PRETUTINDENI, ORIUNDE V-ATI AFLA!SIMTITI, VORBITI, IUBITI ROMANESTE!
