When your profile is compromised or you run into some other issue on Snapchat, you want to get help right away. While they don’t have an official phone number or email, it’s easy to contact Snapchat’s support team through their app, website, or Twitter/X account. We’ll walk you through all the necessary steps, so you can get the assistance you need as soon as possible.

Things You Should Know

  • Contact Snapchat on the mobile app by going to "Settings," "Support," then “Contact Us.”
  • Visit Snapchat’s Submit a Request page to contact them on desktop.
  • Reach out to Snapchat on X @snapchatsupport for quick assistance with a problem.

  1. 1

Open up the “Support” section in your settings and hit “Contact Us.” Hit the icon that features your bitmoji, followed by the gear symbol, which takes you to the Settings page. Beneath the “More Information” header, select the “Support” option. Then, select the “Contact Us” button.

  2. 2

Choose the prompt that best outlines your problem. Depending on the option you choose, a set of more detailed prompts might pop up to help you more clearly outline and identify the problem. Following the “What can we help you with?” heading, the prompts include:

    • My account login
    • Report a safety concern
    • My Snapchat isn’t working
    • My Snapstreaks disappeared
    • I have a Filter or Lens question
    • I have a business concern
    • I have a Spectacles question
    • I have a Bitmoji question
    • I have a Snap Store question
    • I have feedback
    • I have a privacy question

Go to the bottom of the screen to find the gray bar. The app may give you some troubleshooting options to help with your problem—scroll past these until you find a gray bar that reads “Need help with something else?” Hit “Yes” to be redirected to a new page.

    • Some prompts from the “Contact Us” page may not display this bar. If you experience this, try choosing a different prompt from the original page.
  4. 4

Enter the requested information in the provided form and hit “send.” Go into more detail about what your specific issue is, and provide any requested information, like your Snapchat username, email, and phone number.

    • Unfortunately, Snapchat doesn’t provide an estimate of when they get back to users. If you’re in a rush, try contacting them on Twitter.

  1. 1

Go to Snapchat’s “Submit a request” page and choose an option. Some choices, like “I can’t access my account” or “I want to report a safety concern” may ask you to select another option from a more specific list of prompts. Click on the one that best describes your current issue, like:

    • I think my account was compromised
    • I want to report a safety concern
    • I found a bug
    • I want to report intellectual property infringement
    • I can’t access my account
    • I lost my Snapstreak
    • I need help with a Snapchat feature
    • I have a privacy or European Digital Services Act related question
  2. 2

Submit the requested information on the following page. Read through the information at the top of the page, and then scroll down to find a submission form where you can go into more detail about your problem. You’ll need to provide your username, email, phone number, and device as well as other info that will help the Snapchat team address your problem.[1]

    • If you don’t see a form pop up, scroll to the bottom of the screen to find a gray bar that reads “Still need help?” Hit “Yes” to be taken to a submission form.
    • Like with the mobile app, Snapchat’s desktop support page doesn’t provide an estimate for when customer service will be in touch.

  1. Direct message @snapchatsupport for help with your problem. Explain what you’re having trouble with, and wait for a member of Snapchat’s support team to reach out and offer their assistance.

    • If you tweet at Snapchat’s support account, an employee will likely ask you to send a DM instead. It’ll still get you in contact with a customer service representative, though.
